Agua Caliente County Park Overview
Agua Caliente County Park main attraction is the natural hot springs and pools. The large campground has 142 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. There are 85 sites with hookups.
Agua Caliente campground has 41 sites will full hook-ups, 44 sites with partial hook-ups, 35 tent sites, 5 RV/Trailer sites that don’t have hook-ups and 7 cabins (sleeps 4 people). There is also 1 caravan camping area (accommodates 10 RVs / 50 people). Campsites 13-15 and 21 are closest to the hot springs pool/spa area. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, showers and a dump station. There’s also a swimming pool, shuffleboard, a picnic area and a small store just outside the park. Firewood is also available for sale at the campground.
Outdoor recreation includes soaking in the hot springs, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing and stargazing. The water flows year round at a temperature of 102 degrees. Agua Caliente County Park is located about 111 miles east of San Diego in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park.
The Vallecito Stage Station County Park is also in the area. It’s about 4 miles away and has 51 campsites. There isn’t any hot springs, but there is a haunted stage coach station there.
